It started with a fundamental reality of our trade: when it comes to Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) on industrial switchboards, there is zero margin for error.
Energizer was not conceived in a boardroom. It was built by electricians and maintenance supervisors who know what it means to stand in front of a live circuit. We saw firsthand how traditional, paper-based LOTO logs left room for ambiguity—so we engineered a digital solution to eliminate it. Our driving force has always been singular: ensuring that every yard worker, electrician, and technician goes home safe at the end of their shift.
By closely partnering with the crews doing the heavy lifting, we’ve continuously refined Energizer to meet the fast-paced, high-stakes demands of modern industrial construction. From the fabrication yard to the offshore installation, we are closing the gap between the physical lock and the digital log.
The Energizer Journey
2019
The Genesis: Valhall Flank West
First delivery under the Wellhead Platform Alliance: a normally unmanned wellhead platform (NUI) built at Kværner Verdal, installed in June 2019 with first oil the same year. Energizer was deployed during construction and commissioning — proving a digital LOTO log could replace manual tracking directly at the switchgear.
2020
The next NUI: Hod B
Hod B followed as a copy of the Valhall Flank West concept — a new NUI remotely operated from the Valhall field centre. From first steel cut in 2020 to first oil in 2022, Energizer was refined with direct feedback from the yard crews and electricians working the boards.
2023
Modification: Valhall SRU
On Valhall IP, a Sulphate Removal Unit (SRU) was built for water injection and longer well life — delivered through the Modification Alliance, fabricated in Egersund, and installed offshore in 2023. Energizer was adapted to the pace of module construction and integration work on a live facility.
2025–2027
Yggdrasil & Valhall PWP–Fenris
Two of Norway’s largest ongoing developments: Yggdrasil (Hugin, Munin and more) and Valhall PWP–Fenris, both targeting start-up in 2027. Energizer spans fabrication yards and offshore hook-up — one platform for isolation status from onshore to offshore.

The Next Evolution: Hardware Integration
We are bridging the digital-physical divide. Moving beyond software, our upcoming hardware solutions will integrate directly with the Energizer platform—creating an unbreakable, automated link between the physical lock on the circuit and the digital LOTO log.
